Nordic Legal Partners | Swedish Law Firm Website Redesign

A premium, animated website for a specialist Swedish employment law firm serving workers across Sweden. Built with WordPress, Elementor Pro, and custom Elementor widgets with GSAP animations. The biggest challenge was migrating the redesign section by section — preserving all existing URLs, metadata, and Google Analytics data — without losing a single SEO ranking.

The Project

What we built and why

A specialist employment law firm based in Sweden, representing workers in dismissal, discrimination, workplace environment, and union disputes across the entire country. The firm had built strong SEO rankings, Google Analytics history, and established metadata across their existing site over several years. They needed a complete redesign with premium animations — but losing any of that SEO equity was not an option.

We designed and built the new site using WordPress, Elementor Pro, and custom Elementor widgets. GSAP handled all scroll animations. The entire project was built on our own staging server first, then migrated section by section to the live site — replacing old sections with new design one at a time, keeping every existing URL, slug, metadata tag, and Analytics connection intact throughout.

How we approached it

The design direction for a Swedish employment law firm had to balance two things that pull in opposite directions: premium visual quality and legal credibility. The client wanted animations and a modern feel — but the audience is workers in difficult employment situations who need to trust the firm immediately.

We resolved this by keeping the layout clean and structured while using GSAP animations to add sophistication without distraction. Smooth section reveals, text entrances, and scroll-triggered highlights add a premium feel without making the site feel flashy or inappropriate for a legal context.

The service area layout — dismissal, redundancy, discrimination, workplace environment, union disputes — was structured around the client's decision sequence. Workers in crisis need to find their specific situation fast and feel understood immediately. Every service section leads directly to a no-cost first consultation CTA.

The most critical design decision was the migration strategy. We scoped every page, every slug, every meta description, and every Analytics event before touching the live site. The new design was built entirely in parallel on our staging server, then moved across section by section.

Development

Build highlights

01
Custom Elementor Widget Development

Built custom Elementor widgets for the service area cards, the testimonial carousel, the animated stats section, and the hero layout — achieving the precise design and animation behaviour the design required beyond what Elementor's native widgets support.

02
GSAP Scroll Animation System

Implemented GSAP ScrollTrigger animations across every section — hero text sequences, service card reveals, testimonial fade-ins, and the firm credentials section. Each animation was timed to feel smooth and natural without distracting from the legal content.

03
SEO-Safe Section-by-Section Migration

Built the entire redesign on a staging server first. Then migrated section by section to the live site, replacing old Elementor sections with new design components one at a time. Every URL, slug, canonical tag, meta title, meta description, and structured data element was preserved exactly throughout the migration.

04
Google Analytics Continuity

Maintained complete Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager continuity throughout the migration. No tracking codes were disrupted, no Goals were broken, and no historical data was lost. The client's Analytics history and conversion tracking remained intact from day one of the new design.

05
Testimonial System with Reco Integration

Built a testimonial display system pulling the firm's verified Reco reviews into a smooth animated carousel — surfacing 4.8/5 ratings and 65+ verified client reviews as immediate trust signals for workers researching legal help.

06
Service Area Architecture

Structured the site across five primary employment law service areas — dismissal, redundancy, discrimination, workplace environment, and union disputes — each with a dedicated page, targeted content, and a direct CTA to the free first consultation, matching the firm's conversion flow exactly.

Problem Solving

Challenges & solutions

01
Challenge

Redesigning a live site without losing any SEO equity

The client had years of established Google rankings, verified metadata, structured URLs, and Google Analytics history on the existing site. A standard redesign and launch would have risked disrupting all of it — even temporarily — with serious consequences for a firm that depends on organic search for client acquisition.

01
Solution

Staging-first build with section-by-section live migration

We built the entire new site on our own staging server. Once approved, we migrated section by section to the live site — never touching a URL, never changing a slug, never altering a meta tag. Each section was swapped from old design to new design independently, so at no point did the live site lose structural continuity. The client's SEO rankings and Analytics data remained completely intact throughout.

02
Challenge

Delivering GSAP animation quality within Elementor

The client wanted premium scroll animations — the kind typically associated with custom-coded sites — but the build needed to stay in Elementor so the client could manage content independently. Elementor's native animation system is too limited for GSAP-level interactions.

02
Solution

Custom widgets with a GSAP animation layer

We built custom Elementor widgets for every animated component and added a GSAP ScrollTrigger layer on top. Elementor handles the content structure and the client's editing workflow. GSAP handles the animation timing and scroll behaviour. The result is custom-coded animation quality inside a fully manageable Elementor site.

Outcome

Results & impact

The firm launched the redesigned site without losing a single URL, a single ranking, or a single day of Analytics continuity. The migration strategy worked exactly as planned — Google never saw a broken page, a changed slug, or a missing meta tag throughout the entire process.

The new GSAP animations and custom Elementor widgets gave the firm a premium digital presence that stands out in the Swedish legal sector, where most competitor sites are static and generic. Client testimonials and Reco review integration surface 4.8/5 verified ratings immediately, building trust with workers in difficult situations.

Takeaway

Final thoughts

A complete redesign with GSAP animations — built in staging, migrated section by section, zero SEO lost. Patience and precision delivered both.

This project required more planning than most builds we deliver. The redesign itself was complex. The migration strategy was the real challenge. By building in staging first and migrating live section by section, we gave the client everything they asked for — premium animations, a modern layout, custom widgets — without touching a single URL or losing a single ranking. The client was happy with the animations. We were happy with the zero disruption to SEO. Both outcomes required patience and a clear plan from day one.
