Platform
The entire website was developed using WordPress as the content management system, with Elementor Pro as the page builder. Elementor was chosen for its visual design capabilities and flexibility, enabling the client to make content updates with ease post-launch.
Project Type
Full custom design and development. This included UI/UX design from scratch, development using Elementor, and performance optimization across all pages. The project also involved consultation on content structure and page hierarchy to enhance SEO and user flow.
Tools & Technologies Used
- WordPress (CMS)
- Elementor Pro (Advanced visual builder)
- Custom CSS for styling tweaks
- JavaScript for interactive features and animations
- Responsive layout framework for mobile/tablet/desktop
- Image optimization (WebP, compression)
- SEO setup including meta tags and semantic markup
Design Process
We began the project by conducting research into Austech’s competitors and target audience. Using these insights, we crafted wireframes for the homepage, about page, services, and contact section. The color scheme and typography were carefully selected to represent industrial strength, reliability, and precision — aligning with Austech’s brand values.
Once the design direction was approved, we built pixel-perfect layouts in Elementor, incorporating subtle scroll effects and hover animations to create a modern, interactive experience without overwhelming the user. Imagery was carefully chosen and optimized to highlight Austech’s machinery and industrial capabilities.
Development Highlights
- Built fully modular sections using Elementor for easy reusability
- Created custom templates for services and inner pages
- Added smooth scroll-based animations using JavaScript
- Ensured full responsiveness across all breakpoints
- Integrated dynamic contact form with spam protection
- Embedded Google Maps for business location
- Setup caching and lazy loading for performance
Challenges
One challenge was managing large blocks of technical content without overwhelming users. We solved this by breaking content into digestible sections, using accordion toggles and icon-based highlights to visually simplify complex service descriptions.
Another challenge was speed — the site needed to load fast in rural areas with poor internet. We implemented advanced image compression, asset minification, and deferred script loading to ensure top performance.
Results & Impact
After launch, Austech experienced significantly better user engagement. Bounce rates dropped, and inquiries through the contact form increased by over 40% within the first two months. Site loading times improved to under 2 seconds on average. The professional new look helped position Austech as a top-tier player in their space, with several clients commenting on the improved brand image.
Final Thoughts
This project is a great example of how thoughtful UX design and performance-focused development can transform a business’s online presence. Austech now has a digital platform that’s modern, scalable, and easy for their team to maintain.
